"Womens Paintball Training Event at Elite1 Paintball"

The Womens Training Weekend at Elite1 Paintball was one of my absolute favourite weekends in a long time!

Along with a bunch of the girls from the Queensland Birdz of Prey Speedsoft Team and a couple of the men, we began our journey on Friday to Coffs Harbour. It was a 4 hour drive from Brissy and we were able to camp on site for the duration of the training weekend. For many of us, it was the first time we had ever played paintball so there was LOTS to learn!

Saturday the 9th of September was a womens only training event where girls and women - beginner or advanced could come and train and be coached without worrying about if they looked silly or being bunkered by professionals on their first attempt at paintball. Our Queensland girls got to train alongside the Valkyrie Girls Team from NSW who are part of the Semi Pro Div and together we learnt from Bones, Wortho, River, Connor & Pete. A massive thanks to the coaches for training us and teaching us our basics including how to slide safely and dive safely and effectively. Bones, River, Wortho, Connor & Pete - You guys are absolte LEGENDS!

On Saturday night we all went out for dinner at the local pub for a good feed. It was at the table Peta from Gel Ballistics and I recreated the Birdz of Prey logo to create a fresh new Pheonix.SEQ Paintball Team logo.

Sunday 10th a whole bunch of other teams came along for the mixed training where the teams learnt drills and how to communicate with your team mates during gameplay from the same line up of amazing coaches. On this day I spent most of my time taking photos and I slightly injured my calf the day before. :/
